Farmers & Merchants Bank – San Clemente

This project, under construction in 2011, is a ground-up 8,800 square foot bank branch. The duration of the project was approximately 9 months. Complete removal and demolition of the interior of the building, prior to construction of the existing structure, was part of the scope. Relocation of banking center. Scope included full rehab of exterior, roof, and interior of block-style 1960s building. Upgraded parking lot and ADA access points, new sidewalks and paved walks.

East West Bank – Beverly Hills

This 10,000 square foot project was a high-end, interior buildout for East West Bank. The bank is located at a very high-profile corner of Wilshire and Cannon Drive. It draws lots of customer and pedestrian attention due to the large size of the bank and the gorgeous finish.

DEB Construction was selected from a pool of highly-qualified candidates due to our experience as a specialty contractor. DEB constructed the entire bank, including new teller lines, cabinets, expansive ceiling, curtain glass walls, carpet, paint, doors, and other architectural details.

The original schedule indicated project duration of 20 weeks. Per the client’s request, DEB accelerated the schedule. In addition to an accelerated schedule, DEB received 34 bulletins of changes during construction. Even with additional design changes, DEB was able to complete the job several days before promised completion.

College Hospital – Costa Mesa

DEB Construction replaced the entire roof over College Hospital’s adolescent psychiatric unit. In addition, we installed 4 new HVAC units with new curbs, mechanical roof screen, and duct work from the roof down, while not disturbing hospital operations. This project was OSHPD permitted.

JC Penney- Multiple Locations

DEB Construction constructed the newly branded JCPenney “Home” projects at eight (8) sites simultaneously in both Northern CA and Southern CA. Projects consisted of approximately 40,000 square feet of space being demolished of its current functions at each site and constructing new “Streets” and shops including Martha Stewart area, Jonathan Adler, Michael Graves, Ordning and Redding, Bodum, and Celebrations shops.

REI Data Center- Kent

DEB provided a second UPS system, an additional generator, as well as supplemental cooling to REI’s only data center in Kent, Washington. This project was the largest IT project REI had implemented in the last 15 years, and it was a very high-profile project. The critical nature of the project was driven by the fact that REI realized they had outgrown their current infrastructure to such a degree that they had negated all system redundancies. This risk was magnified by the fact that all work had to be completed prior to their “Black Out” period from November 24 to January 15, without any system shutdowns. DEB was able to deliver a completed critical facility successfully with uninterrupted business operations.

Project Highlights:

  • All work completed with no downtime to existing systems.
  • DEB created, managed and implemented a scripting system for all critical work on the project.
  • The entire data center was brought up to code after many decades of non-compliant

    construction.

  • Sustainability: Recycling efforts resulted in 82% recycling of steel.

OC Women’s Medical Group – Irvine

DEB constructed three (3) design/build MOB’s for Orange County Woman’s Medical Group (OCWMG). DEB was brought in at initial concept and provided a turnkey solution that not only met their budget, but designed a space that was functionally beautiful. It is always our approach to create a medical environment that not only addresses the patient’s medical needs but is also a calming and peaceful space.

As a part of the design approach on these three (3) suites, we generated a BIM (3D) model during the conceptual design that allowed the users to visualize their space before it was built. This ability to see their space prior to the full design completion helped to minimize the changes once construction was underway.

JPMorgan Chase Bank – Irvine

DEB Construction provided tenant improvement construction for this high-end finishes private wealth management space, in a Type “A” high-rise office building without disturbing adjacent tenants. The commitment to Chase required that we work 24-hour days with three shifts to meet their schedule for operation.
